FastTrack for the Web
FT4WEB downloads both price and distribution information. The database contains prices just as reported in The WSJ, but also includes and reports distributions of income, capital gains, return of capital, mergers, splits, spin-offs. etc. that affect total return in the user's local database.
FT4WEB integrates the rapid technical analysis of a local database with real-time charts and fundamental information from the Internet. It also includes many measurements used in Modern Portfolio Theory to diversify away risk. These include Total Return for any period, Correlation, NCALpha, Ulcer Index, Maximum Drawdown, and a truly original enhancement of Sharpe Ratio called Risk Return Ratio=. In addition to this, the downloaded data may be exported to a wide variety of formats including MetaStock, Excel, and ASCII Text. The database has an open architecture supporting a host of 3rd party programs which read FastTrack's databases. There are several royalty-free Windows ActiveX DLL and OCX programs that provide VB, C, Delphi, PB programmers direct access to the distribution-adjusted data and families of funds and stocks. FastTrack's local database and the data downloads include all distributions characterized by type: dividends, capital gains, return, of cap, splits, etc. Technical analysis is done with adjusted prices. However, the system will report either adjusted or unadjusted prices. Fasttrack offers 3 databases: funds, stocks 1, and stocks 2. The funds database includes all tradable funds and 250+ market indices. This includes all the popular stock and bond funds from Fidelity, Vanguard, Rydex, Profunds, Putnam, American, TRPrice, etc. and more.
