Virtual Flower
Create flowers and geometrical patterns in 3D. Watch them grow or unfold. A swirling pattern of stars suddenly coalesces into a geodesic sphere with all the points gracefully touching. Navigate a forest of rustling leaves, or visit an island with exotic flowers. The files are extremely tiny, most are four or five KB, suitable for inclusion in larger 3D scenes. Uses the popular VRML format - get the Cortona plug in to view them, or embed in web page with a java applet such a Blaxxun.

Or save as flash animated jpegs, flash movies, or animation frames in many formats such as pngs, jpegs or bitmaps (including 256 colour bitmap save suitable for conversion to animated gifs).

You can also make anaglyph flowers which spring into 3D when you view them using
red/ blue anaglyph specs - coloured anaglyphs in fact. Also make stereoscopic images. Also use to explore shapes in higher dimesions of space -view tesseracts or simplexes in 4D, and get an inlking perhaps of what is meant by 4D or higher space dimensions.

Comes with a scene that shows each of your virtual flowers at random. You can install this as a screen saver using the Cortona Screen Saver accompanied by a random music clip from the companion program Fractal Tune Smithy.
