WordRead

WordRead will read any text in a human quality voice from word processors, e-mail software, certain PDF files and internet browsers.

WordRead helps you to ensure accuracy of any Word document on your computer. You can check a newly-created document in seconds, or open up a previous file and carry out a proof read.

WordRead uses the highly-sophisticated RealspeakTM text-to-speech software which provides human voice reading of your written documents. And, with 'WordRead' offering more than 15 RealSpeak languages to choose from for text readback, it provides great flexibility for proofing, reading and learning.

You can also generate audio (wav) files to listen to on your portable audio player or playback on your PC.

This download does not contain any text to speech voices. To get an idea of how WordRead operates, you should be able to use the free Text to Speech engines provided by Microsoft within your operating system (for Windows XP and 2000). For Windows 98 you may well need to download a text to speech voice.
